I always seem to encounter these type of people. You talk to them like once or twice and all of a sudden your their best friend w/o even knowing it. I encountered this type of person at school. A couple of times I asked if she completed classwork or if there was a quiz. Then all of a sudden she asked where do we eat and I told her we go outside and walk around. That day she didnt go with us because while she was warming up food we left out. the next day she asked where do we eat and i answered the same way. So she went with us around. Then asked for my cell number but i didnt want hers so i didnt ask for hers. so im like okay. she even stopped eating with her friends. and during a pep rally she switched places with her friend so she can sit next to me. and like shes starting to abandon her friends and im glad we have assigned seats in class so she wont move next to me. i want her to still hang out with her friends and not just be around me all the time. i dont want to be rude or anything...

yes, i've encountered people like this. i automatically think 2 things. first, that you don't know what a best friend is to me? second, are you that lonely that you could so totally misunderstand? you don't need to be rude to take your personal space back. take it back. you never gave it to her. is it love at first sight? does she need a mentor for class? do you treat her better than her friends? i'd find out the answers to this before i kept my distance, as you don't need to hurt her feelings.

I really can not say I have ever made a friend like that. Well, I suppose that you must be really interesting or friendly or something. You seem considerate of other people's feelings. I think you would be able to safely just ask her why she is doing this, just causally, to try and find out more information. Maybe her other friends don't make her feel accepted or something. I'm sure she must have some reason.

Yeah, thanx. Ill ask her and try not to be and sound rude. Her friends probably dont make her feel accepted. I didnt think about how she feels with her friends thanx alot.
