you were dating a guy/girl and they were just great supportive,caring,loving,positive, everything you would consider to be a plus but with a major defect? Although it does not hurt no one it is still a lie and not neccesary, he tends to lie over the little things in life that have no reason to be lied about and that do not hurt anyone but are still lies. What would you do? Could you be with someone who lied about the things he did throughout his day and different situations? Thank you for reading.

I would say no i couldnt be with someone like that just because the fact is if he will lie about the little things what makes you think he wouldnt lie about something big? But for the most part i think that if you lie about one thing 99% of the time you lie about everything. I do however beleive some people dont lie about everything but i do tend to check and make sure the person isnt lying about something before i accuse them of lying on the matter. Dont matter what situation its about a lie is a lie and thats what matters .

Thank you for your response and for sharing your view on the topic and well I see where you are coming from and am sure many are on the same level as from what you has been wrote in response to the discussion many do not approve of such a thing. He has always lied over things that do not hurt no one but it can get bigger if one is not cautious and is true.

Well for my own self i lie alot, not coz of hiding things just to handle things accordingly to go on right path! Avoiding her to get hurt sometimes , but i never lie to hide anything from her! never, anything serious, I would lie when i get hurt physically or somethings like those so that she doesnt get tensed when i tell her as she is far from me! i lie sometimes to make her smile, sometimes when she asks if i am okay i lie yes! these kinds of lies i speak which make her feel relaxed and concentrated more into her work rather than tensions about me!
A harmless lie is not a reason to judge anyone, its just said in innocence not intentionally!!

Thank you for your response and for sharing your side on the topic it is always great to read frome everyones point of view, and the lies that I am talking about really do not harm anyone but I just do not understand why they are even said it has nothing to do with my feelings getting hurt or not. Maybe he just wants to add excitment to what he tells me throughout the day not sure. I just hope that it never is a big lie.

I think if someone is lying about small things there is something big they are trying to cover up. That is just my feeling though. if i try to call my boyfriend and he does not answer. if i ask later and he says oh i was busy and i find out he really was not busy i would wonder why he didnt want to talk to me or what he ws trying to cover up. that is not to say that all small white lies are of something bigger but its different lying to a friend than it is lying to your partner. that is part of a good relationship being honest and truthful

Thank you for your response and for sharing your view on the topic. Well I did not quite mention in detail what the lies lie between but really he lies about how much money he makes, that he has all this racing parts in his truck, how much money he has saved up, and things like that not really on where he is at or what he is doing. I believe that as well and that is why I have been having trouble with this in order for a relationship to work there has to be loyalty(in all forms),trust,comprehension,and love or it has great possibilities of failing, so far I have ignored them for about a year now but it is getting to the point to where I am just tired of saying there is no point of lieing.
