I have a year and half old son and I have been giving him Cerelac lately as he makes fuss in having rice and dal.Yesterday he had two bananas and I was actually happy for him.So do you think cerelac has more vitamins or Banana? What would you give your child?
How ofetn do you feed your child?

at a year and a half, he should be eating whatever it is on your table. just be creative on how you feed your child. give him a lot of fruits and veggies or if he doesn't want those, give him soup. my daughter doesn't like viands. she wants only rice so i make up a story or pretend that it is very, very delicious. the colorful the meal, the happier she is. cerelac is for babies. do not give more than one banana, your child might get a tummy ache. give him lots of milk also. when my baby was your child's age, i feed her same time as time we eat plus biscuits for her snacks.

natural fruits are still the best. avoid introducing your child synthetic foods.

At a year and a half, your son can and should be eating whatever you eat, and at the regular meal times when you eat. Unless there are specific health concerns, by this age, children can eat anything, just as long as choking hazards are avoided. I cut grapes in half for my son at that age, and anything else that was round and could cause choking. Most foods I cut small for him, and let him feed himself with a fork and spoon. He eats breakfast lunch and dinner with us, plus a snack here or there.
