navel rings falling out

Does anyone have the same problem I have with thier navel ring? The skin around it will start to rip (when it's so close to healing too) and then eventually rip all the way and the ring (or rather bar) will just fall out? This has actually happened to me twice and I don't understand why. I follow all of the instrusctions and take pretty ogod care of it. I love the way it looks so I'm tempted to try it just once more, but I'm actually afraid that the area is too damaged from the first 2 piercings to get it redone. Can you pierce over a body peircing that has already healed? I know you can do it with your ears but body piercings are quite diferent than your standard ear piercing.

I have never heard of that happening to anyone. I have had my navel pierced for 9 years. To answer your question, if you had a healthy piercing in an area and you allow it to fully heal, you can re-pierce the area. Based on what you are saying, I would save your money and do something else. Some people just can't have certain piercings.
