It's getting tough already

We are fostering three little kittens until they are big enough to be adopted and guess who's getting attached? I've got to be the tough mom and tell the kids that we're not keeping them, but meanwhile little Diego is growing on me big time. It will be harder to give them up than I originally thought! But at least I will know that they are going to good homes. :-(

It's hard, but every placement opens up a new spot for you to take another foster cat.

This is the main reason I have always got my kittens spaded when they were old enough because I would become to attached and wouldn't be able to give them up when they were old enough . They do grow on you and they become a part of the family because you do end up loving the little guys . It will be hard when you have to give them up but it was nice of you to adopt them long enough to give them out to a good home and knowing that they will go to a good home will make it a little easier although the children may be upset for a few days . We had a puppy that we had to get rid of a few years ago . The children were very upset when we had to give him up but knowing that he was going to a good home and that the couple that took him loved animals so much that they had went out and bought food , toys and even a bed before they even saw him helped .
