John Travolta was in "Carrie"???

I've seen the movie "Carrie" quite a few times, but I must say I'm at a total loss in trying to figure out what rold John Travolta played. I was just doing a search on Columbia House for "Wild Hogs" (which they don't have for some reason) and figured I'd try it by actor. Well, when I put in John Travolta, the last movie that showed up was "Carrie". At the bottom of the description of the film it says "The talented supporting cast includes John Travolta...". Now I've got to rent the movie to find out what he does! I'm sure he's most likely an extra, the movie is from 1976, before anything but Welcome Back Cotter (maybe even before that, but I don't remember...).

I never did see that movie, it is not my type. I did do a quick search on Wikipedia and I see that he plays the character of Billy Nolan. I really don't think that will help you but when you see the movie at least here is a name for you to listen for.

I love Stephen King, although I don't care for many of the newer movies he's had out. I'm sure he was one of the guys at the end, one of the ones that caused problems at the prom. I kinda can't wait to see it again and find out what he did in the movie.

I thought maybe he was one of the boys at the end who were involved with the pigs blood - either getting it or making the bucket fall. THANKS! I will check that out too :)

He was one of the boys at the end with the bucket of blood; he may have been one that dumped it on Carrie. I do remember him getting killed but I can't remember exactly how anymore. I saw Carrie in the movies and it was at the same time Welcome Back Cotter was on, I think. I know it was one of his first roles.

I also saw it when it was in the movies and I guess since he was such a new star I didn't realize it was him. He's the one that gets killed in the car at the end, they escaped the dance, but she got them on the road.

I'm not quite sure but wasn't he the boyfriend of the female character who survived at the end?
"They're all gonna laugh at you..." Man, that mom was creepy!

That's the only quote I can remember from that movie when Carrie's mom said that to her when she was going to the prom. I checked and they said that Travolta played one of the boyfriends in the movie...
