I have used both and well, they both work great with my eyelashes so I guess it's just a matter of which has a lower price over your area... That or you might want to test either first and then find out which works for you. Some make ups and its tools are quite personal, working differently with different women so I recommend that you experiment and judge it for yourself. Just make sure you ask someone what's the proper way of curling lashes. Also, between the two, admittedly, Shu Uemura is what mags crave about. =/

I think Shu Uemura has the best curlers in the market. It has won countless of always year after year. And it's not that expensive either. Thankfully, I'm not very conscious about my small Asian eyes. I don't use an eyelash curler so I've never really tried this. I just know that beauty magazines always rave about it. :)

I'd recommend REVLON. I've tried shiseido but I didn't like it that much. Revlon on the other hand never failed me. I make sure I pick the type that doesn't smudge. I also like it because it's a VERY reliable brand. I get my money's worth with revlon.
