Nope, I dont kiss the same gender either. I feel kissing kids may be upto the age of 7-8 ( and they are not your own kids ) is okay if its absolutely essential.
But I generally keep away from kissing or hugging relatives kids esp when they are
grown up as teenagers

Here it's different. We hardly kiss another. Most of the time we only kiss our own child. We seldom kiss other's children. It's not because we don't love them. It's not sure whether their parents will mind it or not. Kissing may not be good especially for infants because of the sanitation issues.
I love China

I have a son who is 19 years of age. I still kiss and hug him and he does not mind it so long as it is not in front of his friends. They feel grown up but to us, they will always be kids, and being a loving family, I do kiss him now and then.Of course it has become less as he grows up, but Im allowed to kiss him occassionally. lol.

Well in my family we are 5 and our youngest one is now 16 I believe (I ten to forgot things) and we still peck him on the cheeks or he would kiss us on the cheeks. But to my own, well they are still so young, but I don't think it will bother them when they grew older. Cheeks to cheeks kiss is not awkward.
