Shoes to make you go what?!?

Heels on babies - There is a new fashion in baby wear. High heel pumps for the birth to six month set.
*
These 'shoes' are actually soft booties with squishy spiked heels attached. They come in different colors: Zebra print, leopard print, black, and very hot pink. Not cheap, a pair can cost you $35 which is a hefty price for infant wear of any sort.

Not cheap, a pair can cost you $35 which is a hefty price for infant wear of any sort. * These shoes cause me consternation when considered alongside other 'sexy' items turning up in the children's wear sections of stores of late. We have incidents of push up bras for preteens, thongs for youngsters, pants with the word juicy on the back, T-shirts with 'interesting' sayings, and sparse swim-wear. These items are promoted to seemingly younger children every year. * We have dolls like Bratz that are giving some parents fits with their attire and make up. * Now, baby pumps with high heels. * The website in question shows a baby, about six months old, in a pair of black baby pumps and a black dress. http://www.heelarious.com/ *

Another poster had this discussion a couple of weeks ago, I thought then and now that this is just a bit much. But the thing I say is that as parents the kids have no way of getting these items unless we buy it. Which many are doing, but then want to talk about what TV and rap music is doing to the kids. I can't figure out why they can't see that they are the facilitators. Recently lawmakers in my area, has a ban on kids that wear the jeans 22 sizes too big, hanging off of their behind. I don't know about anybody else but if you take your kid to the mall and buy him pants 22 sizes too big, wouldn't you expect them to big, baggy and hanging off of his behind? Give me a break, stop falling prey to what the TV and internet sell and be the adult in your household. If we stop allowing the TV and media to raise our kids we may get back to producing proud members of society instead of unruly delinquents that we say are out of control. Oh I guess I had gotten on my soapbox....lol....back to the topic...this is crazy in my opinion.

Knowing most toddlers & babies, they will be in the mouth in five minutes.
