Should teachers carry guns?

Should teachers carry guns? What do you think about teachers carrying guns while in school? I'm not sure what I think about this just yet… I saw this on Dr. Phil the other day. Some parents feel it's ridiculous && others feel it's to protect our children. What are your views on this matter? What would you do if you found out that the teachers at your child's school are packing a gun? Teachers are permitted to carry a gun in some schools in Texas && I'm sure it's also permitted in many other schools in other states, but so far I have only heard of Texas. The teachers are trained && licensed… Also, not all teachers would be carrying a gun && nobody will know what teacher is carrying or not. But don't you think the school should just get a Security Guard to do this? I think the problem is, we are scared another school shooting could happen… Maybe if a teacher has a gun on them, this could help save our children's lives if a school shooting was to happen? It just makes you think though… I'm sure soon enough all the schools will be making this a mandatory thing for the teachers to be packing a gun… Times have sure changed...
