Is Life Changing As We Know It?

It surely feels like it - Picture of a older man with thin glasses head leaning on his hand in stare of disappointment

A 700B dollar Treasury Bail-out, Social Security close to going down the tubes, Workers Pensions a target, The Already falling dollar falling which can only lose value dramatically from the cost of inflation, Cold War talk brewing back up, on and on. ------but whats going on STILL, we have people swearing were not in a recession and then others swearing were on the verge of a depression IS life changing as we know it, do you think so? Do you trust anything anyone is saying? The scary thing is that someone said the Depression took some time to actually spill over on to the middle class and was not an immediate thing, is our next President facing a Depression??

Our lives are changing so fast now we can't ignore it any longer like we have in the past. We are already in a depression but if you tell the public that there would be a panic that would bring everything down a lot quicker. A lot of people are lying to the public about this hoping they can have time to fix it before the public is forced to admit it. There will never be another "Depression". They changed the name of it to "Recession". It is said the surest way to keep the wolf away from your door is to change his name to dog. This is what they are trying to do with the depression. During the 30's the depression took longer to get up the ladder where it effected even the rich. The working people on the lower end of the food chain are always the first ones hurt any time our economy goes down.

I feel like this plan Paulson is trying to pass through treasury does NOTHING for the common man and that is scary to me because its like their trying to pass it up quickly before it can be even reviewed just like when the Bush Administration wanted to go to war with Iraq, they pushed to pass that vote as quick as possible. WHAT is going ON HERE?? I swear it feels like the US has the potential of becoming Communist--its so strange.

It would scare the pants off most people if the true figures came out on inflation and the unemployment rate plus some other things. We are getting into a position now where the money supply dries up and when that happens we have some very serious problems. The true state of the health of our economy is being kept from the people but it can't remain hidden much longer. Bush and company have destroyed the United States as we knew it. Bush should be forced to stay in office and deal with it. At least it would remove all doubt about who's fault if is.

I believe it's going to get very, very bad. Bailing out those companies is not a good idea and contrary to the principles of capitalism. You know it's the ordinary people who will suffer, not the big wigs. My banker says the media is trying to scare us and things aren't as bad as they make out but I can see my retirement investments shrinking daily and believe me, I don't have much in there as it is! Better stock up on what you can. Buy an extra can of food whenever you go to the store, bottled water on sale, etc. Save every penny possible, you'll be needing it soon. Whoever the next president is will have an awful mess on his hands, thanks to W the Idiot!

i didnt think the media was trying to scare me, actually I thought they were acting rather odd by repeatedly saying "its O-K" "Do not panic" i just think that was weird the way their tone changed where as they usually are jumping all over new reports, they even took phone calls to tell the people "its O-K" I think its just they do not want their sweet ole stocks being threatened
