MUGGING across the Boarding House!

Last night, I was having my dinner (banana and fresh lumpia) in the cafeteria downstairs when something tragic happened just across the boarding house.
My back was actually at the window since I was watching the news on TV when a commotion behind me got my attention. I realized I have been glued to the news that I didn't notice people from the cafeteria were already running outside to join the other onlookers. Then I saw two crumpled figures crying and screaming like they're in agony.
I was frantic and stood up as well but I just approached the window, I didn't come out because there are too many people outside already.
Well, the convenience store was mugged. A fat guy came in with a gun and took that day's cash in the register along with their mobile phones for reloading. A gun! That must have scared them! I remember I almost got myself killed when I was mugged last April because I would have wanted to put a fight. The b@st@rd took my phone (my expensive 3G phone!) while holding a knife at my side.
Now this happened to these ladies, and with a gunman! I felt bad for them. Poor ladies... It isn't much help that the NaPolCom's office is just a stone throw away nor the fact that we're located within the Cathedral vicinity where it's really crowded. And it was not that late, more like 7PM!
Have you ever witness or even experienced mugging yourself? Did you freeze to death? Did you fight back? Were you ever given justice? Well, I didn't get my phone back... Shucks!

I didn't witness it but my brother, years ago, was mugged in San Francisco one night. He hasn't really talked about it. And I hope those creeps got something more worse than they deserved in their lives for doing so.
I didn't want to go to the store one night with Boyfriend so I decided to wait in the car. Suddenly, another car pulled up next to Boyfriend's car and out came these young adult males. They were being rowdy so I started getting a little worried but when they started walking away from the car, I was relieved... just for a few minutes... because then I saw them approach another man and started beating him up right in front of the store. They ran back to their car and sped out. I got really scared but I was able to get the car's plate number. I saw the "victim" bloody and shirt torn, being helped up by two other men but they also got in their car and drove away. So I think it was more of a gang fight. I got out of the car and reported what happened to the security guy roaming around but he seemed confused so I gave him the number and some more information.
Desperate times call for desperate measures... so it doesn't matter if the mugging/robbery happened a few feet away from a police station. Stay safe over there!
