I actually just receieved another piggy bank. My partner made herself one and then made me one over the summer. I've started using it. I have some spare change in there and I have some bills in there as well. I'm trying hard not touch it much myself so I can actually save some money instead of just spending more money than I'm making.

wow, how sweet of your partner to make you a piggy bank. that is really one way to save especially if you have a hard time saving in the bank. :) eventually with the pennies that you save you can start having an account in a bank... keep on saving!!!

I used to have piggy banks. It was funny though because we kept our coins in there for so long that when the coins changed, we had to scramble to get them changed, otherwise they would all be useless! I don't keep one anymore. My parents got us bank accounts for kids when we were young, so I graduated from piggy banks pretty early.

I use a tea can to put all my change in. Of course it's filled with mostly pennies but there are also silvers in the family. It seems like every time it's almost full, we end up spending it on something, but the next time it fills up, I'm not spending it,I'm gonna continue to save it for my daughter. I might end up buying a glass piggy bank so no one can't get in it unless some one break it open, but I don't think my husband has the guts to do that, I'll be a mad sista.

I have one, a small one from the dollar store. When I go out, I always pay cash, so I use him to get change for the tax. It makes me feel poorer when they take the change out of a dollar, because then I have more coins than dollars. He looks like a real pig and he's so cute!

ASaved money in it for like 2 years and you know what after like 2 years, when i had too much money in it. I gave all the money and notes to my mom and got it refunded for cash notes and then i bought a Playstation 2. Well trust me, thats the only thing i have ever bought on my own with my own money and i love every moment of it. What to do , but i just love it too much .Hehehe. And i love that ps2 more when i have bought of my own money heeheh . Trust me a piggy bank really saved my life and even gave me a new one too. Hehe Well anyways happy mylotting :)

I have one, but I rarely carry cash, so I rarely have anything to put in it. It does add up fast though...

hi there, that would really be another advantage of keeping a piggy bank you can use the money when you are out of funds. i keep a box to since i don't have a piggy bank nowadays. :)
