Do you wear the latest fashions?

I generally wear what I like and not what is the latest fashion. Sometimes I buy something I like and it turns out to be the new in fashion but that is by fluke. I know other people that are right into fashion and only wear what is in. What about you are you a fashionista or do you wear what you like?

I'm afraid I'm a bit of a slouch by some standards.. it's usually blue jeans and a baggy harley t-shirt for me.. One of the joys of being a stay at home mom and grand mom.. no panty hose!!
If I go somewhere nice or something, it's bluejeans and a nice top, likely and India cotton type of blouse.. Oh and my hoop earrings..

All my clothes are second-hand. Sometimes I accidentally wear something so old it's come back into fashion!

I am like you - I generally wear what I like - if it happens to be the latest style - great, but if not I don't care.

I wear what I like. But here's the issue with that. I can't find what I like in the stores 99% of the time. I don't like big prints, clothes with high waists or gathers at the neck, tops that come just past my waistline, etc. And that's what I'm seeing in the stores. Do the designers think we all think alike? I guess I'm looking for clothes typical of a few years back or even more. I find what I like occasionally and if the price isn't outrageous can but it.

I have absolutely no interest in the latest fashion. I wear what I like, not what is in style. I will not be influenced by other people when it comes to what I wear. The clothes I wear are comfortable and inexpensive. I enjoy wearing them and they look good on me.

Like you, I generally wear what I like as I like to be comfy. However, stores tend to carry the latest fashions so sometimes I may buy it, sometimes accidentally, sometimes (although rarely) on purpose, though only because I know my husband will like it.

I used to not really care what my clothes looked like and before I knew it I was 50
years old and feeling like 80 years old. I don't know exactly how it happened but one
day I looked at myself in the mirror and I didn't like what I saw. I managed to gain
40 pounds over the years and my clothes just hung on me as I was trying to hide the
fat and so I bought clothes that were way too big and chunky on me. So I looked even
bigger than I was, although I was quite fat.
So I changed my life and I lost 35 pounds and I started to buy clothes that were more in'
style and I got my hair cut and I changed my attitude. So now I don't buy clothes that
are baggy and of course out of style, anymore.
Even if I have to spend a little more money on stylish clothes I will because I think
I am worth it. I worked hard for the last year to change my life and get healthier and
be happier so I deserve to reward myself as I continue to work on myself and my life.

Hey whywiki, I'm with you on this one. I wear what I like
and not what is the latest fashion. The latest fashion
fades away too fast and it usually is for the very young
anyway! I try to dress appropriately but I have my own
sense of style. I don't really care if it is "in" or not
and if it is it is also as you say a fluke! I do try to
wear things that are not outdated. I do like to look fairly
fashionable, I just don't go out of my way to go towards
the latest fashion trends because they change like the
weather!

I prefer comfort over expense - I don't have the budget to follow the fashion trends. I can't possibly afford having to over haul my wardrobe every time a trend waves in. And besides, I don't often agree with the trends. I prefer keeping things simple and elegant :) I also know for a fact that guys rarely realize when a lady is "in fashion" - they just know if what she's wearing is nice or not :)
Thanks for the response on my discussion!
