notify is on!!!!

I have been both busy and ill recently and so not all of my notifications have been on, I switched them on yesterday and not one discussion has come through to my inbox! whats going wrong?

half of my notifies work and half don't!!! yours work for me but sometimes i get other peoples sometimes i get half of other peoples sometimes non at all. Seems to have a mind of it's own so i usually go off my notifications and if i haven't heard from someone in a while i check friends started or their profile.
