Stay?

I could use some advice on training my dog to "stay". She's a pretty smart dog. She's about a year old and can do sit, lay, rollover, paw. I can even say "other paw" and she will give me the opposite front paw. She also does "high five" and if you say "gimme kiss" she'll lick your face. I'm having trouble teacher her to "stay" though. I also wanted to know if anyone had any tips to get her to stop jumping on people as soon as they come into the house. She weighs about 50lbs. I tell her NO but it doesn't seem to work. If is does work, it only lasts for a minute. What do you think? What do you or did you do to teach your dog? Is it worth it to go to a class? Is it just a puppy stage that she will grow out of? Help!

I think that you can make your dog do this by giving treats. You already have trained to do the things you wanted. I think you can also teach him to do what you want with the treats. You can try it anyway. If it doesnt work consult a book on dog training. It would be the best thing you could do.
