People who can't see motorcycles say that they don't belong on the road. Well, I say if you are too blind to see motorcycles, you're the ones that don't belong on the road. Start Seeing Motorcycles! It's about lives.

I have never heard anyone say that because I have not met anyone who could not see them. I get a little nervous when I'm driving and there is someone on a motorcycle in front of me because I worry about what would happen if the person wiped out right in front of me or something like that and I didn't have time to stop, though that has never happened. I wouldn't say they don't belong on the road though.

When you are behind a motorcycle, it's the same as being behind a car. As long as you aren't tailgating them, you'll have time to react if they go down. I've heard "I hate motorcycles, they are too hard to see!" a lot. I've even responded to ambulance calls for "car vs motorcycle" where the driver said they didn't see the motorcycle. I always wondered if they could see kids in the road either. :~D

Yeah, that's probably true, but I fear a lot of silly things on the road. I don't like being between 2 semi's either, don't know why. I also don't like passing a semi, for fear that the driver of it might try to change lanes and not see me and smash me.

They can't see motorcycles??? That is like saying that you can't see a bicycle. What are these drivers looking for or at when they are on the roads. I am looking for anything that or doe not move! Hang up your license if you can't see them. Plus they are so loud how can you miss the rumble?

I'm definitely with ya on this one! Motorcycles don't belong on the road!? So outlaw them because people are in such an almighty hurry they don't see them? Even though as required by law they have their headlight on.. These days, how about everyone ride a cycle and scrap the cars! I've never had a problem seeing a cycle, and its headlight, coming down the road, but I do see people rushing up to stop signs, barely stopping, glancing once and rushing on.

I do see motorcycles and if I am at a stop sign, not matter how far they may seem to be, I will wait. Same for big rigs. I have watched so many times where someone pulls right out in front of motor cycle, and also the rigs. It must get very frustrating for both types of drivers because they need to be on extra alert. If someone cannot see motorcycles then your right, they should not be on the road because then how could they see someone on a regular bike or a pedestrian? Defensive Driving seems to be in order for all drivers these days. So many drivers today seem to be driving with their own set of rules which seem not to include safety. Stay safe out there..trust no one

True. My brother put it perfectly, and I have passed this advice on when teaching my own kids how to ride a motorcycle... Act as if every driver around IS trying to run you down. ;~D

Are there really people who said they can't see motorcycles? I see motorcycles everyday in fact we have 2 at home and there are more motorcycles in the city than cars or vehicles with 4 wheels. Almost every student in the universities have motorcycles for going to school.

Yes, usually as a justification for hating sharing the road with motorcyclists, or for an excuse why they hit the motorcyclist.
