Do you love being ill and pampered?

Hi all, here I am talking about innocent illness, the illnesses that are normal and common. We all go through these in our lives. Being a very healthy kind I hardly suffer from fever, cold, coughs.....that makes me wonder, how does it feel?. Sometimes its good to be pampered and cared for. We get to know how your family love you, that you are not alone. People do care for you and you know that you are much loved. Have a blessed life.

Hiya! I dont love to be sick. Well, Im a bit of a 'double agent' so to speak, when it comes to this kind of issue. I rarely get sick. During high school and on the first year during college, Ive always wished to be sick because I just want to avoid the things that I have to do. But on my second to this year of college, I dont want to miss any classes cause it would be hard for me to catch up. Unfortunately, back in late August, I had a fever, after being 'feverless' for about 10 years. It was really hard. Im warmer than usual, also have a cold alongside the fever, head aches, get dizzy if I stand too long, those kinds of things. I just usually brush illnesses off. I mean I dont take any medication and rest. I just go about my business, but with this fever I couldnt. My parents were concerned and they didnt let me attend classes for two days. I had my meals in bed (my last meal-in-bed was around 12 years ago). It was a nice change, being 'taken cared of' than 'taking care of'. I was alone in the house in those two days, good thing I have a friend online with me so I had company even if its just online, and that didnt make me in anyway feel lonely.

Hi BJ How are you doing? I agree with you dear. Illness can never be good especially when and if we are alone. The inconvenience is much. I would never want you to fall ill, never. You have a wonderful healthy life dear and keep smiling. Love

Not anymore.Because I just cannot afford o be ill at this juncture. Moreover It has been who has taken care of my family members and relatives so far whenever they needed the medical attention.Well but an occasional massage of my shoulders and nape from my wife wont hurt me for sure.

Do you understand now why I said that I am vulnerable in another discussion. I can't have any secrets. My closest friend always finds out just like that.

It feels nice to be pampered if the illness are common and normal, lasting a few days. I enjoyed a lot of it through my childhood and it sure brings back fond memories. Unfortunately after that i went through a series of chronic illnesses, which got me an overdose of concern and pampering. So much so that day in and day out for a months i had to go through the advice, the questions, the special attention, where it reached a stage of mild suffocation and i had to struggle and fight myself out. Better to be always healthy Mimpi, One will still get the pampering and special from family and loved ones.

That's sad to hear. No one should ever fall ill. That's not the objective of the discussion. People who car for us will care no matter what. But I am talking about that extra mile like a hot drink or a head massage or some time together. having a total day off together. We can do this without being ill as well but how often do we do that! We humans need a reason to do things and our primary goal gets lost somewhere. I would like you to take care of your health, that should be the number one priority in life. Trust me, we should be healthy emotionally and physically. That makes life so much easy to handle. Have a healthy life.

The extra mile is always welcome and sure does bring about the sense of caring and togetherness. Maybe i miss the pampering a bit so that may explain the slight deviation and digression.

Yes, when I would get ill when I was unmarried, my mother would get worried and she used to take extra care of me. That was really a great pampering. I would like to be loved and pampered even if I am not ill..........LOL!

I don't love being ill, because my job requires me every second of the day and I have to keep up my health as much as I can. It is good to know however, that whenever we come to the point that our health fails, we appreciate our love ones being there for us. But I don't feel like that being pampered because I don't want them to have a delayed time for me, when they must have done something useful for them. I would rather choose to spend good times with my family when all is well.

I think everyone, if honest loves being pampered, being made centre of attention, being fussed over, and have everything brought to them on a plate! To be able to put your feet up whilst your nearest and dearest fetches and carries for you, especially if most of the time you are always fetching and carrying after them! So it's a little payback time, why shouldn't you be fussed over and spoilt, especially when you are not well, although it shouldn't take you being unwell to be occasionally pampered and fussed over by your partner!

yes it is true that we get pampered when we are ill and you know i really dont want to fall ill as we get pampered only when our parents are with us and me as a mother now i really dont want to fall ill as i need to take care of my husband and my child and when i am ill i accept that my husband will help me out but it becomes difficult for me to do look after my child and also manage cooking if i keep the house work pending also. when i was in my parents place i can take rest and i have nothing to do and hence i like it but not now. and morever when we are ill we need to suffer from pain and really i hate it and i always pray to be healthy.

I miss being pampered. This makes me miss being ill too. :) Because i usually get the best attention and care whenever i am ill. Now that i am a mom with two kids and away from my country, i could not afford to be ill. Unlike those days when i "crave" for some pampering, i feel that it is much better to be well and not pampered than to be ill and pampered. But i still wish to be ill in the presence of those who love me super. :) My aunt Vilma would make hot soup for me, have it send to my bedroom and later on after a sponge bath, i would get a full body massage. Then my mother would bring all kinds of food that i want and would watch my babies. I did not have to do anything until i am completely well. That part of being ill is 'heaven' for me.

I like being healthy. No one takes care of me when I am sick or not feeling well. I have to make myself better without the help of anyone. I have a number of home remedies to take me through the common illnesses if they should come visit me. Cheers!!

yeh even im healthy by god's grace and dont generally fall ill ever touch wood..but i love to fall ill as ilove to be pampered, who doesntloves pampering evryone.i think but its like why do we need to be ill to get this pampering and caring. In our evryday life there a re certain thngs which our beloved and our fmaily members or our friends they do only for us which involves thier caring, love and in a way pampering as well. But we fail to realise or notice those things..these actaully are very tiny things which we dont notice..

I know what you mean. You better be the way you would love to. Sickness is not a good thing and no one should ever be sick to get pampered. But when one is ill, nothing like a good caress from loved ones.

I'd like to be pampered when I'm sick as much as possible. But there are times when I get severe headache and I just want to be left alone and just have good rest. It feels good to get pampered from our loved ones once in a while. I don't get sick often, but I seem to get bad headache every now and then. And to have cough and cold at the same time is not really a good feeling at all so even a little extra love helps a lot! Have a good day friend.

i do not enjoy being ill and i am like you as i have quite a healthy body, the last time i was ill was about half a year ago due to food poisoning and i had to lie in bed for some time. i do welcome the change for a while as suddenly, my wife became extremely caring towards me and took good care of me which in turn improve our relationship for a while. i also enjoyed spending the time in bed reading up some books and article which i had always wanted to but the common excuse of not being able to find time prevent me from reading them prior to falling ill. however when i was well again a few days later, my wife doubled my household chores and informed me that i had to pay back for all those days i was sick....haha.
