I just started publishing, so I don't expect this to happen anytime soon. I know I have to build my portfolio and get a decent following before my articles are picked up for distribution. Unless I write a really fantastic article. But, has anyone else had an article picked up for distribution? Who was it distributed by? Did it help your payments?

I've had five out of 92 sold for distribution. I don't know if $2 is a standard rate or if we get a percentage of what the article sells for but I got $2 for each of the five articles. Four of the five went to college recruiter(s), I'm guessing based on the subjects of the articles, they will distribute them to new freshmen and transfer students.
I really like the distribution feature. I used to write for a site called Write for Cash that hasn't been active for... Well, I've been on AC for 4 years and I found AC because Write for Cash went down, so about 4 years. But they payed $10, 11, or 12 depending on the quality of the article then they sold it, just like AC. Through that site I had a couple articles published on a US travel site and one on a wedding planning site like weddings.com or tietheknot.com, only not either one of those :) I still use all three of those articles in my portfolio as examples of published material and now I can add my AC articles as well.

I just started posting articles up on AC also and have made a little (emphasis on little) money from it so far. One (my first) article was for $1.52 upfront @ clout level 2 and $.23 of performance payments so far. I can't help though since none of my articles have been distributed either.
