Yes, it is true. A Federal Grand Jury has been convened. Supeonas have been issued. There is an investigation. Fannie and Freddie execs have reason to be worried. Some crooks might go to jail. Read about the perpetrators of the financial crises possibly getting their just reward here. http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5gTS1CPMMgKdY2xTl8IYWGjOXERjAD93GV6J00 I say this is much worse than the Enron scandal. Some of those jerks went to jail. Fair is fair. Let's find out who broke the law here and throw them under the jail! What do you say?

"Three weeks ago, the government seized control Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac..." I thought that the government already controlled Fannie and Freddie? There is so much CYOA in this whole issue it's pathetic. We need to clean house in the entire government and Stop voting incumbent criminals back into office. This "Investigation" Should start with Bill Clinton.

We are definitely on the same page. The only reason there have not been more investigations is only that they are all crooks and no one wants to throw the first stone.

That's because "We The People" should be the ones doing it. They have forgotten who runs this country because WE have forgotten.

Jeesh... I really wonder why so many people who agree with me have all the low stars. Are our opinions concerning things like this really so far off the mark? If so, the country's education system has really failed.

Some of the most powerful democrats in Congress have their hands ( and their purses) all over Freddie & Fannie, so it stands to reason they'd not call for an investigation. I you want a heads-up on who the villians and heroes of FM & FM, view this: http://www.jibjab.com/view/253615

Even without sound, that is a powerful video. And it is on jibjab! Wow! Thanks. If this gets distributed widely enough, maybe people will realize how deceptive 0bama really is.

Some people didn't want to watch it because it is on jibjab. Many other sites had already pulled the video(wonder why?) so I posted the first one I found that had it. I think the jibjabbers must also have political opinions and are probably not laughing at that video. However, here is another link for it: http://blogsforjohnmccain.com/viral-video-burning-down-house-new-link

I predict that their friends will organise some ratbags to fly planes into where ever they keep all their account records and the building is actually so scungy it will cost more than it's worth to repair, or some such scenario, but hang on, we've already done that! Will the public swallow it twice, aw heck. Give it a go, hey. It was a good idea in 1960 somthing. Who can we blame?? I know, Russian, Nth Korean and Chinese financial terrorists, bent on the destruction of capitalism, by eh, owning us first. ??

That's an interesting possiblility. I guess instead they will con the republicans into helping them cover themselves with the taxpayers money and just forget about that embarassing 'go to jail' thing.

I say, it's a shame what greed can do. Pulling in millions a year isn't enough. These people will get what is coming to them. I think the government should have stayed out of it. Let the beasts fall, then we rebuild the right way. The credit world has gotten most people into a lot of trouble.

It is a great shame that neither candidate was against the bailout. If either had took the side of the American people, they would have won the election.

Yep, throw them all in jail... and while they are at it, they need to look at those democrats who were denying the problems and blocking the legislation that could have prevented this whole mess.

Yes, some of those democrats could have been guilty of taking bribes to do their stupid deeds. The FBI should check this out.
