I have had a 'head cold' for some time now, about three weeks, and it has not been pleasant. I feel like my whole face is congested and right when I felt like it was getting better now I feel like all that congestion went straight to my ears. It feels like so much pressure and when I blow my nose or sneeze I can HEAR noise and its gross. Like theres water in my hear squirting. Dont tell me what it is, I know, dont want to get too graphic. I cannot even sleep with this pressure in my ear and wondered if anyone every experienced this from a cold. Its the first time I've ever had this problem in my ear but I did get an ear infection during a cold before but didn't feel any pressure or hear anything. I just want it to go away as it feels like something is covering my eardrum. I am all self conscious because when I go out I cannot hear in this left ear and I do not know if Im not speaking loud enough when talking to people. And its embarassing having to explain myself. My ear is getting a slight pain now and its like a pulling feeling. How can I drain my ear out by myself because I do not even have a primary care physician. If it gets worse I will have to go to the emergency center (its a 24 hour center for the college kids on campus, not the hospital)

you better consult your doctor about it(your EENT in particular), before it's too late. i once had experience having trouble in my left ear before when i had my diving lessons and gosh, there's a water inside my ears and it smells bad when it comes out slowly yucks! i went to my EENT and there he do something in my ear, i remember he put water in my right ear that flows inside and comes out in my left ear, it's really giggling experience but it really help. then my doctor advice me to stop swimming for six months then for the healing period. now i dont have a problem anymore about it.
