If you were planning a week vacation, which would you rather visit, Disneyland or Disneyworld? Why?

Disneyland, because I've never been there. I've seen Disney World about 10 times. My parents even own a timeshare there. I would love to have a new experience which going to Disneyland would be.

That's so neat that you've been to Disneyworld so many times! I've only been there once, but definitely would've gone more if my parents had a time share! (LOL) I'm happy to learn that you and your family were able to take advantage of that. I like your answer because mine would be the same. I haven't been to Disneyland yet either. As much as I'd like to go, it's mostly out of curiousity because I've heard it's much smaller than Disneyworld among other things. I'd love to go to California since I've never been there either. I'm grateful for your response. Thanks for taking the time to visit this discussion and take care, friend!

I like your response because while I've only been to Disneyworld, now I'm curious to go across the country and see what the other is like so I can compare. I've heard things about Disneyland, but now I've got to go and see if they're true and make my own opinion of that. I like how you're ready to compare the two as well. I hope you're able to visit both someday, and if you do please revisit this discussion to let me know what you find! Thanks, friend.

I have already been to Disneyland in California and so I would choose Disneyworld in Florida because I haven't yet been there. I know I would love the tropical landscape and the hot climate. I have heard it is huge and so my toddler son would like setting many different attractions. I remember the ET Ride and the Swiss Family Robinson's Tree house in Disneyland. I am sure that Disneyworld would keep my son busy and happy for a week. I would then appreciate a second week on a palm fringed beach in Florida.

I like your response because unlike any of the others so far, you've only been out West to Disney. I've heard it's quite small compared to Florida's version, but then again, you wouldn't know that yet, would you? (LOL) I surely hope you're able to take your son there someday. I'd definitely encourage you to try because Florida is absolutely beautiful as it is, and going to Disney World is a dream come true for any young child. You're right about keeping your son occupied. There enough to keep both of you busy for days if not a week! I'd be so excited for you if you and your family were able to go there someday! Best of luck to you and thanks for your response! Oh, and please do revisit this discussion should you ever have the privilege of going to Disney World someday!

Hi Sue! I hope you someday are able to fulfill your dream and head to Disneyland. I've only been to Disneyworld, but I'm sure you'll enjoy it whichever one you visit! Thanks for your response. Take care, my friend.

If I was planning a weeks vacation I would say that I would rather visit Disney World for several reasons, one because I went there when I was a kid because my cousin was in band, and they were performing down there so family members got to go at a discount price, and I totally loved it,and I have always wanted to go back and see the things I did not get to see,and two because Florida is a whole lot closer than California and it would cost less gas to drive to Florida then California and besides if we were going to Disneyland I would probably have to fly and I refuse to fly on a plane.

Your response is probably the most similar to what I'd choose. I'm from Michigan, so Florida obviously makes the most sense for me too. There's a lot more to do at Disney World too...or so I've heard since I've never been that far West. I hate flying on a plane too. It's creepy to me...everything about it. (LOL) I won't go into it, but I'm sure for many reasons the same as you. I'm glad to hear we're agreed on this one, though! I hope you get to visit again in the near future and how nice of you to go see you cousin perform. I like how you thought about cost and convenience in all of this. For our location, this choice makes the most sense. Thanks!

I would definately go to Disney World. First of all it is closer (we are in Ohio) and we have been there a few time. We just went there last November. I think Disney World has alot more park and is alot bigger. I just love Disney World and I hope we can go back in a few years. The only bad thing is it is so expensive but the kids love it and there is something there for everyone.

Hi, Pam. I agree with you that this trip is becoming quite expensive. When I was very young, my parents took my a couple of my younger siblings...the only ones born at the time. (LOL) I remember we had a great time, but it was only for a day, and that was probably 18 years ago. I'm sure it was cheaper to enter the park back then. I'm not sure how they do it now, but I heard it costs an arm and a leg just about. (LOL) I think now more than ever it's more practical to actually spend at least a couple days out there to get the money's worth out of the whole thing. I know they have a lot of hotels and other accommodations out there. I like Disney World because I haven't been out West, but I also heard it's much smaller. I'd only visit there out of curiousity, really. I think Florida has the "real deal" when it comes to Disney. Disney Land is probably more of a copy so that the West could have one too! I like your answer, though. I'm from Michigan, so Florida obviously makes the most sense to me too. Perhaps I'll take my kids (when I have them) there someday like my parents did for me. Thanks so much for your response!

well i would have to go with disneyland, and the only reason that i would choose that is because i've alread have been to disneyworld. now if i was planning the trip, becuse i had kids i would take them to disney world. personally i think that disneyworld is begger and has more for kids to do. i know that i would also take them to disneyland too. i dont think it really matter where you go as long as you have fun and enjoy being there. i think that disney world is a better choose because yo can travel the world without leaving the county.

I like that..."travel the world without leaving the country." I think that's a huge advantage Disney has. Great answer. I'd have to agree with you on which I'd visit because I've also only been to Disney World because it's closer. Disney Land is all the way across the country from me, and I've heard it's much smaller. I'm still curious to go, though. I think once you have kids, they'll be very happy for you to take them to both. I also agree with you that as long as you and your family are having fun, that's all that really matters!
