Last night, we were treated by my brother-in law and his fiancee to Zen Sho, a japanese restaurant here in the Philippines in an area called Tomas Morato. It was a very nice experience because I am not fond of Japanese food except tempura (shrimp covered with flour) but I am curious of their other food. It was a buffet in a quite modest price of P380.00 A chef was there in the middle of the table with the cooking facility. He cooks our food while we watched. He juggled his utensils very good and to my kids delight. I tried the different sushi and sashimi and was surprised that they tasted good unlike what I thought before. There was raw salmon and tuna. There were oysters and steaks and a lot more. What about you, do you have some amazing experiences on a Japanese restaurant?

Hi marisriel, Zen Sho is very near my place. Its just a walking distance. I havent tried to eat there because my mom prefer to eat on saisaki timog. But im curious about zen sho cause i like to dine there. P380.00 is very affordable price for a japanese buffet. I just want to ask if its a buffet why does the chef cook your food? Im planning to dine there with my family this month. I do love japanese food especially the california maki and the sashimi. It really tastes great. What food are included in your P380?

Hi ralph. Zen Sho is a definite must try, but I am not that hundred percent sure that it's 380.00 but as I remember, my brother mentioned that to me when we went there. To be sure, try to contact them before going so as not to be short on your pocket, okay. I've eaten also a lot of times on saisaki but on different branch, usually those branches were they are with Dad's. When you get there, you should try having a seat on those areas where they have the cooking place in between your table so you will have the benefit of watching while the chef cooks your food. It is buffet but you will check the food that you want to eat and then they'll cook all of them for you. That's what I like better than saisaki. You would eat only hot and fresh cooked food, not that like on saisaki where they are already served and you just choose. The cooking time is fast enough so no worries. For example you have a party of five to six persons. They'll cook already enough for those number of people and if you still want more, you'll just tell them to cook again.
