What do your cat's or cats' paws look like?

I have one cat and his fur on his paws is silver. When he sleeps so I can see the bottom of his paws, the outline of his toes has silver fur, but the toes are pink! His claws are a transparent looking white and most are in good shape. One in the front is a little split and one in the back is a little split. My cat has 4 toes front and back. Your turn.

Wow, that sounds cool, silver fur...My daughters cat is all black, including her paws, so no special coloring, just black..But she is beautiful, and petite, but mean as anything..

Not my cat, my daughters and yes, even the pads are black..I am trying not to stereo type this cat, but black cat? Well maybe she isn't mean in a sense of attacking us, (unless we are holding her when she doesn't want to be held which is 99.9% of the time), but she sure isn't a people cat, she would rather us leave her alone..Unless of course she is hungry, but that doesn't count..

Mean, you're all sweet over there, so what are you doing with a mean cat? Even the pads are black? Wow! That's a really, really black cat! Thanks and take care.

Our cat is gray but has white markings. Her front paws are evenly marked to look as though she has on white socks on the tips of her paws. The pads are pink. Her back paws are totally white and the pads are pink with black markings as well. Her chest and tummy are also white. The white markings are so perfect that it looks as though someone painted them on using a pattern.

That is really, really cool. My cats have been mostly solid or striped. This one has like a white line on his chest and one near his private area. Never had a cat or a dog that looks like it has socks. Yours sounds like the greatest coloring. Someday I want to get good at taking pictures and enough money to buy a good digital, then I'll put pictures of so many things on here! My cat will definitely be here. Is your cat in your profile? Thanks so much for your reply and take care.

One of my housecats (I have 2) is a 'mitten-toed' cat. She has extra claws on each foot and makes her feet really wide! It's one of the first things people notice about her, the other thing they notice is that she's really, really huge. Not fat, just really a big cat. I got her as a rescued kitty around 10-12 years ago, and she's at least 17 by now. Shes a calico, and all her pads are a really cool pinked color.

She sounds like she has really neat feet. I had an 8-toed cat years ago, he looked double-pawed (like two 4 toe paws) per foot. Yours sounds cool, extra dew claws, colico, with pink pads. Great description, thanks and take care.

Your kitty doesn't have "dew claws" on the front - like the thumb? All my cats have 5 toes on front and 4 on back.
Most of my cats claws are clear, even the black cats, except for a few claws on Scamp, they are black.
Most of my cats with white paws have pink toes, tho Blossom is walking on me and she has a few black toes. My orange cats have orange or "brick" colored toe and nose leathers. The black cats have black. Rio as one orange toe and that toe leather is also brick colored.

Hobo had diabeties and my friend's cat, Pixie, has it, but so far I've not heard about any getting neurapathy from my vet/s. I would think it might be more of a problem in the tail...
Jellibaby had an injury to the base of her tail and no feeling in most of her tail, I spent her entire life making sure her tail was well cared for. She did keep it out of things, but I would tuck it under her on cold nights to keep it warm and make sure it didn't get injured. She would tollerate some messing with it, but got irritated if you payed attention to the tail instead of her, almost jealous!

Since I can't really see the toe on the dewclaw one, I don't really consider it. So by your definition, I have a 5 toed front and 4 toed back cat and I stand corrected. What neat colored toes your cats have. I was wondering about the different colored toes since I wouldn't expect a silver and charcoal grey cat to have pick toes. Orange/brick, wow! Neat. I hope people do pay attention to their cats toes. More and more cats are getting diabetes. If they get neurapathy(aren't able to feel past a certain point on extremities), they could get injured or cut, have it not noticed and it could become serious when if they looked often, they could get the cat help in time and cure infections, etc. So keep track of all those toes please and thanks for a really neat response.

Yes, you're probably right, the tail is probably a problem. I know that with people and they have shoes protecting their feet, injuries for diabetics are dangerous. Cats paws are pretty much barefoot. Take care and thanks.
