Any pumpkin decorating ideas?

Go to hgtv.com and watch carol duvall do a swirly affect on the pumpkin. She takes masking tape and goes around the pumpkin like a swirl. She then scrapes the pumpkin skin all the way down it where the tape isn't covering it. When she's done she cuts out the bottom ( I did the back) and puts a light or candle in it. IT looks really neat. I also made a mouse and pig out of mine this year. I painted the faces and put ears and tails on them. Good luck!!

HI, I am sorry you are having an artist block so to speak . Here is something I love to do and maybe it will help you also. I love to paint my pumpkins. I will make a stencil of whatever design I want and find three or four pumpkin and go at it . This way the pumpkin lasts a lot longer and if you are lucky , last long enough to make great treats , like pumpkin cookies or bread. You can cut ghosts or things , but you can get really artistic with color and things. So just an idea . Happy Halloween !!!!
