What is your biggest thing about dieting?

What is the one thing you cannot stand about dieting? Mine is counting calories. I HATE IT! I wanted a snickers bar to find out it has 280 calories for that little bar. So now I am eating these little 100 calorie packs and they just are not fulfilling. What do you snack on when trying to shed a few pounds?

I hate that hungry feeling you get. I am the type of person who likes to eat practically all day long. So restricting myself to 3 meals or even only 2 is the end of the world. It doesn't help that I can't have my breakfast of 5 bowls of cereal filled to the top, on nearly any diet. As consuming an entire box of cereal in one day probably goes over the number of calories allowed for the whole day. Currently I'm trying to cut down on eating, but mostly just exercising instead. I gained 8 pounds this summer and now I've already lost 1 pound this fall. So 7 to go!

Me too! I love to snack. I mean I was probably consuming twice what I need to eat now to lose weight. I am eating more veggies and more salads with a litter amount of dressing but I still get those dang cravings for chocolate. Ugh... I guess it would be worth it all in the long run

I hate salads, but the good thing is, when I do eat them, I always eat them without dressing. I like my salads with salt and pepper instead of dressing. I know, it's weird. You might be onto something there... maybe if I snacked on veggies it wouldn't be so bad. I know my dad went on a diet once where anytime he wanted a snack he could eat a carrot. He ended up losing over 50 pounds, so I guess healthy snacks might work.

I don't really "diet" but instead I try to eat more veggies and more fruits and stay off the sugar. It works.... I believe in eating healthy and not depriving yourself of the foods you love.

One of the hardest thing in losing weight would be getting past breaking points. At some point when we go on a weight loss program, we are stuck at a certain weight or size for days or even weeks. It does seem that the process is really taking slow and it breaks our momentum and even affect our motivation. I'm currently in my breaking point and I've been in this weight and size for nearly a month now and I haven't seen continued progress. Although, now I'm considering that I can't exercise as much as I used to since I recently got sick and can't get physically stressed. Once you get off 1 lb or 1 inch smaller, it's a big achievement and the weight loss moves on. Take care.

Fruits, Vegetables, Meats, Oils, anything natural except anything laden with chemicals. Don't be too strict about dieting. You only have one life and food should not be an obstacle to stop you from enjoying it. Lift hard and eat hearty
