I'm really not sure if ginger root interferes with meds and the only way to find out is to call the pharmacist who dispenses your meds. He will be able to tell you if ginger root can interfere.
Ginger root is great for helping to slow down a headache from taking hold and it is a useful herb for sore throats, among other benefits. I'll add to this thread later, after I get my sons from the school bus.

If you are taking aspirin, ginger may interfere with aspirin.
In general if you take any medications, you should talk to health care professional.
