Every zanpakuto is alive and has some spirit in it. Like Ichigo's Tensa Zangetsu. I'm wondering from where does these spirits come from. Are they former shinigami (lol Zabimaru) or something like that? Are they part of their owners soul or separate spirits that are attached to them when they became shinigami?

Hello Bionicman! :) Your conversation raised my interest especially since it's started 3 years ago, long before the Zanpakuto Rebellion filler season. I took a break from Bleach for 100 episodes because I can't stand watching 1 very short episode per week. It's pure torture!! Anyway, now I'm watching the Rebellion filler and I can't stop thinking how good you anticipated their move :) Looks like you weren't the only one thinking of this subject since they decided to dedicate 35 episodes to it. So in this case i have to ask you, what do you think of that season and which zanpakuto did you like best??

The zanpakuto rebellion filler started pretty good but began dragging quickly and got boring soon. It's a filler that wasn't written by Kubo so you have to take all the information about zanpakuto with a little reserve. My favorite Zanpakuto is still Tensa Zangetsu.

Yeah, and I was really courious about how will they handle Zaraki's zanpakuto. Unfortunately they avoided it completely. It would be interesting to see his raging zanpakuto tired of being ignored. Hopefully we'll see his bankai in anime soon. And yeah, I'm still watching Bleach even tho I wanted to drop it thousand times already. It's getting interesting again...

Yeah,Zangetsu-osan is really a very cool guy :) I like him very much too! And I have to say that even if they weren't written by Kubo, i consider their information to be pretty accurate and well made. I especially liked the way they treated Byakuya's zanpakuto and also Hisagi's. I mean...they offered a bit of an insight on Byakuya's true nature and on the reason Hisagi said in the past he fears his Zanpakuto. All in all, they thought the new characters very well and i don't think there was a zanpakuto that didn't fit his master or was ..out of the story in any way. As for Zaraki's zanpakuto, I think that maybe Kubo has a certain plan for that and that's why they left it out. Maybe he includes in his future stories something about this and they didn't want to spoil it. Because I doubt they didn't consult him when they made the filler season. What i don't get is why do they keep it going like this? Why don't they just take a break for half a year, like other shows do and start the next season while the manga has time to breath a little and come up with some more consistent subjects.
