I love to travel and when I go somewhere tropical I like to go snorkeling. I have seen sting rays and black tipped sharks in French Polynesia. I saw more gentle sharks called nurse sharks in Belize. I have seen dolphins in New Zealand. In Australia I have seen a manta ray and a turtle.
From the safely of a boat I have seen crocodiles in Australia and Belize. I have seen manatees from a boat that was rowed to protect the manatees from injury. I have seen whales in Hawaii and the USA off the coast of Southern California.
Have you seen a sea creature when you have been overseas? If so what was it and which country were you in?
If not is there a sea creature that you would like to see? By snorkeling, diving or by boat?

I was able to see sea creatures from a safe distance albet on top of them in a glass bottomed boat in Rhodes, it was wonderful being able to get so close up to them! Fishes, sea sponges, crabs even! I have never seen a dolphin though, I did try when I was up in Scotland but sadly none appeared. Plenty of jellyfish wish I certainly don't want to get too near too. I used to go crabbing as a child in rockpools and that was fun!

Wow, you're really lucky. The only sea creatures I've seen that are extraordinary belong in an aquarium or to a zoo. :( The rest I've only seen on Animal Planet. I'm not overly fond of sharks, but I'd love to go diving with the hammerheads some day. They seem friendly enough, or maybe I'm just deluded by Ursula's pets in The Little Mermaid.
