I know you've seen this a lot but different Filipinos actually cook Adobo in a different way. Just want to know how you guys cook your adobo? Is there any particular brand of Soy Sauce and Vinegar you always use to cook it? My mom cooks adobo with Garlic, Onions, Laurel Leaves, Soy Sauce and Vinegar. She puts more soy sauce than vinegar and she sometimes adds sugar. I cook it in the same way minus the Laurel Leaves plus potatoes. I use Silver Swan for my soy sauce then Datu Puti for my vinegar A friend of mine cooks adobo with soy sauce, garlic, soy sauce and vinegar. She puts more soy sauce than vinegar If I'm not mistaken. The salty taste was just right. She uses Marca PiƱa for her soy sauce. My Mother-In-Law cooks it with tomatoes it's odd but it tastes delicious. Another old way of cooking it is by putting more vinegar than soy sauce. This is how my father-in-law cooks it. Same delicious taste! I know I just love to eat adobo! This one I read in the magazine, it was the winner for best adobo recipe it's was called "dried adobo" mostly used is vinegar together with the other main ingredients. From the picture it looks yummy!

I don't know how to cook adobo but a friend of mine knows how and her adobo dish is very good. First she would cook the chicken on vinegar, garlic, freshly ground black pepper, laurel leaves. She waits until the chicken is cooked, and then she would saute garlic then put some soy sauce and let the soy sauce simmers so as the salty taste of it will evaporate, and then she would put the chicken and cover it and put the fire on very low. When the color of the soy sauce sinks in with the chicken she add some water, simmer more then it is set. A cup of steaming rice makes this dish perfect.

I don't know how to cook adobo but my mom cooks the best adobo. I like her adobo it's red and creamy and a little bit spicy. Sometimes she also cook sitaw (string beans) and kangkong adobo. Her adobo is really the best.. Happy mylotting..
