Well I just finished my second article for Neowide and I realize my obsession is back....with the dictionary. Generally I use the dictionary to make sure not only I am using a word correctly but also to see if there are more meanings than one to the word. I have always been obsessed with language and how people use it either in everyday iving or in written form. And I am the first to admit that I have been known to play with words and not write grammatically sound. But for the most part I try to honor the language by at least understanding it's function.
So how often do you writers out there use the Dictionary? Do you find new things or do you use it as a reference?

I love the dictionary, but I really love the thesaurus, its my best friend sometimes. I do use the dictionary for reference but every now and then I think back to my 8th grade teacher who challenged me to to look up the definition of a word and then define each word that defined my original word, now that will get your research juices flowing.
