My mom went ahead and bought my Christmas present and gave it to me. It is a new camera.....point and shoot but better than the p and s I have been using. It is a 14.0 megapixel camera. I am still learning to use it but here is a shot I took earlier. Some day I will save the money to get a DSLR till that day I will have fun with my cameras I already own.

That is a nice pic, gee a 14mg camera is good, I don't think I have seen one with that many mg's, I have a new DSLR but even that only has 10mg and I paid a fair bit for that, so I think you have a good camera there...hope you get your DSLR one day.

The best thing about your new Easyshare isn't all those megapixels, or even the 6400ISO. It is that you can shoot in Program and Manual instead of automatic mode. Go back and take that lovely leaf you started out this discussion with using a large aperture to blur out that messy background, and you may turn a quite nice picture into a very fine photograph!Want to know more about getting the best out of your camera's modes? Maybe my article at http://www.quazen.com/Arts/Photography/Moving-Beyond-Automatic-Camera-Control-Mastering-Aperture-av-Priority-Mode.298537 will give you a head start.
