let me first raise the price so that you can get it back down to the price I originally wanted.... I saw that sign in a catalog somewhere, pretty funny. Do you like to bargain or do you hate it?

Just hate it!! My husband is much better at it, so I let him do all the hagging he wants. I do it rarely and only when I don't feel embarassed doing it. Most of the time, I do and so just keep the thing down if it is overpriced and keep moving!!

My husband does it too and I just have to get out of earshot. For some reason it really annoys me!

I really don't like to bargain unless it a flea market but at a major shopping center I hate it. If I see something that is way too much I usually put it down and walk away. I don't like spending hours in a store I just like to get what I want and walk away.

My father-in-law would walk into ANY store and try and bargain. Drove me nuts. I like spending a little time in a store looking around sometimes, but not hours.

There is a nice defination for it, let me tell u Haglling:-A transaction in which both buyer and seller think they are fooling the other one I hate haggling i mean why do people overprice something when they are easily available at much less rates I know seller wants some profit but dont blind stael from a buyer So i buy only from those stores which have value for money and i never shop in a new town without someone to guide or collecting information prior to going there

I love that definition! Where I really hate this is car dealerships. Why can't they just decide what the price is and stick to it (a la Saturn dealers)? To me it's almost criminal to overcharge one person hundreds or even thousands of dollars just because they don't know how to haggle.
