The Life of Wisdom begins with learning how to put principles, such as "We ought not to lie," into practice. The second step is to demostrate the truth of the principles, such as why it is that we ought not to lie. The third step, which connects the first to justify the principles. While the second and third steps are valuable, it is the first step that matters most. For it is all too easy and common to lie while cleverly demonstrating that lying in wrong.

Well you know why, demonstration is very easy but the practical side is difficult. We all knew telling 'lie' is not a good quality. But do you agree that nobody there, without telling a single lie in his/her whole life. I heard that even Lord Krishna also justified 'lie' but intention should be good or it should not be disturb anybody and save some good deeds. We teach our children not to 'lie' but in practice, sometimes unknowingly, we are doing the same in front of them. So practicing the principles is important rather than demonstrating the same.
