Collecting Stamps Not That Fun Anymore

How many of you collect stamps? I sued to collect stamps when I was a kid. I have stopped doing that now as I hardly get any stamp on my mails anymore. Most of the mails now come with the printed stamps and therefore, there is really nothing much to collect.
last time, I used to have pen pals from all over the world and therefore, we would mail letters to each other from time to time and with that letter, we would get lots of nice stamps from each other for our collection.
Nowadays, the idea of having a pen pal seems to be out of date as we all now communicate through emails and cell phones via MMS and Video calling. Who needs a letter anymore?
Do you think that emails are responsible for making the stamp collecting hobby less fun that it used to be?
Do you have any idea or suggestion on how to overcome that? I would love to hear what you have in mind and may be stamp collecting may not be dead yet.
Cheers!

I used to collect stamps when I was a kid too. I collected some first day covers a few years ago but it was too costly. I dont think that the traditional mail can keep up with emails or MMS or cell phones in the long run.

It was a old story to collect stamps. The stamp memory was so vague that I coundn't even remember that! But I did collect the stamps when I was a very small kid.
