Yes, it is true.
Our friends the solar scientists have had troublsome news about the sun lately. First, it was the delay in the start of the sunspot cycle. Second, it was the decrease in the solar wind. Now, it is the degradation of a protective shield around the sun that helps to protect the earth. All of these things possibly mean a cooler sun and a mini-ice age.
You can read about the latest solar calamity of the degrading protective shield here.

I say that at least if the sun conks out, burns out, or turns into an ice cube, it will put the current USA election into its proper perspective.
What do you say?

Well, here's what I have to say. Our grandkids say we must have come from the ice age. I'd be able to tell them at least they were kin to us, now having to grow up in a 'mini ice age'. Hey, another thought - they could no longer say we were headed for global warming!!@redyellowblackdog (10629)

Actually, we are headed for global warming even if there is a mini ice age. The last mini ice age lasted several decades. That is the blink of an eye in geologic terms.
We know enough about these cycles now to know that the last ice age that ended about 12000 years ago won't have another like it until 100,000 years after that. In between the earth will warm until it starts declining again toward that next ice age.
Currently, without a doubt, 99.9 % of scientist agree, we are in an upswing of the warming-cooling cycle.
Even the man-made global warming fanatics have had to admit such a cycle exists. Now, they are trying to maintain the hysteria by saying mankind is causing the cycle to be worse than normal. I see no evidence of that. Jeesh... some people never give up.

I say the man made global warming hoaxers best link this to CO2 production really quick.
We are not in control of the sun, the climate, or anything else for that matter.

Hmmm... I'm thinking mankind can't even control womankind. How are we supposed to control the earth, sun, etc?

Oh not Redyellowblackdog turn on every light, appliance, and all of your vehicles so we can counter solar cooling with man made global warming. Well if the sun burns out well at lest we would not have to worry about those melting ice caps. Another positive from this story is that Al Gore should be without a job, but the ever resourceful Albert will surly find some scam to fleece people out of their money. Maybe he could make a video about man made global cooling. Albert will made an outrageous statement like in seven year the earth will be a solid ice cube if people do not start sending me money right now.

If it weren't for the fact I'm honest, I'd have to admire ol'Al for the creative way he found to make money without working.

Well I guess the hole in the ozone layer angle was not really getting optimal traction so it makes perfect sense to hit us with a new calamity! lol. The sun will most certainly burn itself out eventually anyways but it won't be anytime soon. As for the election angle I am at the stage now where ANYTHING that would out the USA election into perspective and ultimately behind us for good is going to get welcomed with open arms by me! If the sun instantly imploding and turning into an ice cube ore something means I don't have to listen to Abbott and Costello fight it out anymore then pass me my thermal underwear and bring it on!

"Abbot and Costello?" That's almost as good as John (Grandpa Simpson) McCain!
Don't worry about things letting up after the election. Whoever wins, the other side will be dogging them with complaints, whining, and general discontent, continuely every single day. The best I think we can hope for is the period after the election until the new president takes office might offer some respite. The losers will be hopefully quiet in their despondency and the winners will have nothing to complain about.
