Browsers can be organic. There is a type of programming that has been around for a while, maybe over 10 years, called organic programming.

I don't know much about organic programming but I remember learning about it when I was doing computer science/programming in high school (I graduated in 1996). I think it may have been some kind of open source programming that never caught on. Here is an explanation (rather complicated one) I found online. I will see if I can find one that is in English LOL: A system is called organic if all of its components and subsystems are well coordinated in a purposeful manner. Organic structures realize themselves as hierarchically nested processes, structured such as to be able to meet upcoming challenges by goal-oriented reactions. The concepts of Organic Computing will not rely on the algorithmic division of labor, but on processes of evolution, development, self-organization, adaptation, learning, teaching, and goal orientation. http://organicprogramming.tribe.net/ http://www.codeproject.com/KB/cpp/organic_programming.aspx

Its a state of mind and attitude but many sellers are also capitalizing on the idea and stretching things a bit. We all better be more concerned with organic and organic farming and living princplas and actions for the sake of a cleaner healthier life. Great post! :)

Organic Web brower??? How odd. I can see how clothing or food can be organic but...a web browser is made out of programming...numbers nothing organic about it!

ORGANIC = produced by nature...the products grown organically are more safe than they are brought up by pesticides...we can be more healthy and active in our activities by taking organic foods...not only foods are organic today..all cosmetics are also made out organically... they are economically high but as the result their priority is also high by nature so....take the things ORGANICALLY only

I think organic applies to only edibles. But as the word became famous for its purity, all are using for their bussiness gain, and there is no such thing like organic browser, they may named their browser with that name, so most people will get notified and trapped. Organic applies to only edibles where no chemical or artificial method was used to get the products.

so in another words the person that was asking on the site was just stupid? since he was asking which browser was one? since even using it in a pure sense i cant fit that with an internet browser haha

Hmm, I too am schooled in Computer Science, but never heard of organic programming before. It is an interesting concept actually. Thanks to sedel1027, we now know there is such a thing as organic programming. So, what exactly constitutes programming if it is not based on algorithms? I thought that all applications come together and are produced based on some algorithms to process something to get a result. How does one recognise of a browser is organic or not? Interesting...
