My favorite sunday dinner is tried and true Meatloaf covered with this really awesome tomato sauce (not ketchup... although I use ketchup as a dip later)with mashed potato and gravy, corn or green beans. IT's not exactly elegant or sophisticated but it makes me feel cozy and warm and everyone loves it. What's your favorite Sunday dinner - something simmering all day and have everyone's mouth watering by dinner time? Is it a wacky tradtion Sunday night is breakfast for dinner night? Is it a big bowl of yummy pasta? What's your favorite sunday dinner?

Being from England there's only one meal that can be eaten on a sunday dinner and that's the typical english sunday roasts. My mum makes a brilliant sunday roast with all the trimmings. Golden chicken/turkey, tender beef, lamb or pork depending on the occasion with golden brown and crispy roast potatos, fresh vegetables, yorkshire puddings. Although my mum often varies the dinner on special occasions for example at christmas she even stretches to "pigs in blankets" which is basically sausages wrapped in bacon, sage and onion stuffing and cranberry jelly. mmm all this talk is making me hungry...i'm off to raid the fridge

As a black man, of course you know my favorite dinner conisists of watermelon and chicken. Ain't nothing like coming home from a hard days work in the middle of winter and grabbing my self a nice big peice of cold watermelon! Also goes great with coffee in the morning to start your day. Everyone should try it..watermelon chicken and coffee...mmmm!! sounds good doesn't it. But seriously,I don't really have one paricular dinner that I must have. If I had to choose it would be lasagna. This is one of my favorite dishes that I hardly get a chance to eat. It can be a pain in the rear to make, at least that's what I've been told. my other favorite dish would have to be peach cobler, or peach pie. There's no better taste than a wartm peice of peach pie. I can sit down and eat the whole thing. Followed by a 1 hr trip to the bathroom...everybody open up all the doors and windows!!

LMAO... watermelon and chicken. I wish I could make a good lasagna. It tast good but it's a big ole brick. I think it doesn't have enough sauce. . Peach cobbler... never had it but I could imagine it tasting yummy! Maybe that's my next discussion -- who has the best lasagna recipe. I'll send you a piece Stingey... or better yet -- I'll send a piece of my old recipe -- you can use that to put people to sleep instead of the ice block!

I use this tomato relish ... I got it off of foodnetwork... it is really really good. (go on to the site -- Dad's Meatloaf with Tomato Relish by Tyler Florence) The sauce is sweet and doesn't taste like ketchup -- if not with the meatloaf try the sauce on other things.
