Do you think that there should be bans on certain dog breeds?

I know that in parts of canada that certain breeds of dogs are banned. I personally do not think that they should ban the breeds but teach people how to properly take care of their dog. They should have to take a course for the more agressive breeds. What do you think?

I agree with you. I don't think that the breed is the problem. The problem is that owners of certain breeds don't know how to take care of their pets.
A friend of mine is a pit bull owner, and she was telling me that pit bulls become very attached to their owners and need to be around people a lot. She explained that when people leave their pit bulls chained outside all day, they become very disturbed because they don't have that human interaction that they need. And the only way that they know how to deal is by acting aggressively and biting people. Pit bulls that are well taken care of are some of the sweetest dogs I've ever met.
I strongly believe that any negative behavior associated with any specific breed is entirely due to the owner not properly caring for the dog. There are a lot of misconceptions about many different dog breeds, and banning a certain breed just adds to the misconceptions and encourages ignorance.

Yes, some dogs are too naughty to control and sometimes these dogs may bite others. It'd better to ban to breed.

Did you know that there are other breeds that are not banned that are more likely to bite. For example the dalmation is a real big bitter but has never been banned. But I want to say thank you for your opinion, I believe everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

That doesn't sound like such a bad idea.
I know in some cities Indiana there are certain dogs that you cannot have in an apartment building. But I'm not sure if they actually come out and say you can't have that dog at all. But it is a city ordinance, not just a ban by the apartment complex.
I also have heard of people not being able to get homeowners insurance because they owned a big dog like a pit bull or a rottweiler. This is pretty scary too.
I think that it is good to educate people in all aspects. So you're idea about offering classes to help people take better care and train their dogs is a good idea.
Happy posting!
