as a stay-home mom I'm all-support with my husband's and kids' activities, but, no matter how much time i spend in all the household chores, assisting my kids' in their school projects and assignments, watching tv, surfing the net, there're still times that i feel im alone, though i think it's because of the time i spend alone at home whenever they're in school and in office. I would like to know how other stay-home moms like me do so as not to feel left alone or how do you divert your attention?

i'm a stay-home home like you and had experienced all you've mentioned. sulking all day long just made me depressed and low self-esteemed.I went out and joined aero classes. Our body needs a little pampering too, have a body massage frequently. It will make a big difference

A feeling of despondency does set in when children grow up a little and do not need yo as much as they needed you when they were little. They make freinds and spend more timewith friends than with you. soon you start feeling that your life is becoming meaningless. it is time for you to take up a job or for yo to get busy insome activity which takes you out of the house and keeps you in the company of people other than your family. Join a Mahjong club or play bridge with some ladies or jsut go out shopping all by yourself.

well, there are times that when i ask my kids to go out with me, they prefer to stay home, unlike when they were younger, they prefer to go out with me. i think you're right i need to get out, though its hard to do this at this time coz i prefer to go out with them, but i'll try to do this.

Well, as you know... i would love to be a stay at home mom so that i can take care of my daughter full time... but i can't... since i need to help my husband make ends meet... or else... we might go hungry... or not be able to pay the rent... But now that you are here in mylot... you can use you spare time just participating in discussions... believe me... this site can be a little addictive...
