I never had a job that would allow me to play online... So, all I can think of is " I would be so fired"
Hey if your company is hiring let me know LOL....

It doesn't hurt that I am in Sacramento and my boss (and my whole department actually) is in Woodland Hills. But basically as long as I make my deadlines, they don't seem to care. Which means it will be crunch time later if I don't light a fire underneath myself now!

When I have lack of motivation I usually imagine the result of that job. I really like to see the result of all that effort you put into work it gives me energy to another project. And I also like when others look up to me after the job is successfully done thanks to me. Also financial motivations sometimes work but not that often as the social motivation.

Hm, I'm currently imagining a wonderfully put together test plan leading to a successful implementation of a new operating system.

No, it's actually a great idea and I wasn't being sarcastic when I said that. Although it would be easier if I were, say a carpenter, and could imagine a finished product such as a cabinet, as opposed to a document.

Sometimes I do wonder whether I do need to change my school or else to change my profession completely. I need to be motivated badly. © ronaldinu 2008

I don't know if I would call it apathy or being frustrated, but I am having a hard time just making myself go to work. After talking with my boss about needing more hours, she goes and hires a new girl for the office. Now my hours have been cut instead of increased. Companies say that look at loyalty but how can you be loyal to your job and company if they do something like this? I have to force myself to get up and go to work.

My company is cutting my entire division, outsourcing. So many of the people around me are being let go or will be working for another company. I am one of the blessed few who is being retained but the way my job is being changed, I'm not sure I even see it being interesting.
