Are you a survivor or can you call yourself a survivor? For me I can say I am a survivor of life, I had faced too many tragedies that it made me think I am one of the luckiest people on earth who survived. Hardships and difficulties are not the reason to give up life but its one of the reasons to survive and to become a survivor. What kind of tragedies or hardships that you had survived?

Hi there lovelyvelle
I too am a survivor of what life throws at us. I was in a 10year loveless and abusive marriage. I found the courage finally to flee with my kids two years ago and life has never been better. We have the freedom to do what we want when we want to (within reason of course) and we are not answerable to anybody. We are all really happy and stronger from lifes tough experiences

Oh wow how did you survive with that kind of relationship for ten years? Was it just for the sake of your children that's why you stayed that long? Yes, it made me sad whenever I heard about a loveless marriage, I know how it feels! Its heartbreaking as every day passes by the more heartaches you've gone through, instead of hoping it healed its more broken into pieces! Thats great that finally you've got the courage to leave! Good luck and take good care of yourself and your kids.

I suppose I put up with everything for the first 5 years and the next 5 years it all started to get to me and I was staying for the kids until I hit that point where I could take no more. It wasn't a physically abusive relationship but ever other sort of abuse you could think of, it was! Me and the kids have come through it and we are all very happy now luckily two of my kids were too young to know really what happened and don't think none of us know why it all happened.
