Dirty Politics

For those of you who don't know, I am running for City Council in the city I live in. Anyway, this Saturday, a nasty letter went out about me - listing 2 pages of the most slanderousand libelous things I have ever seen. It was sent to all of the voters in our ward. So far it seems to be backfiring on the competion as I get more and more calls from citizens who are outraged that someone would go so far to try to hurt a local election. I am meeting with an attorney today. What I want to know is what do you think about dirty politics? My race is obviously not the only nasty one - you just have to turn on the tv or scan the internet to find some sort of mudslinging going on this election. Does dirty politics scare you into voting for a candidate, or does it turn you off making you vote for the other guy?

Politics like business and war uses resources to best deal with the competition. I think, too nice candidates wouldn't make it there so better be tough. Onced there, much difficult trials will come. Publicity is a psycho war and better be good at it or leave. Try not to be the rest so set your own style. If they mudsling at you dont do the same. Try to focus on the game plan and never give in to other players. I'll think more about it and write it here. So long friend.
