I noticed that very few response found on serious discussions. In light or silly topics I found many responses. Is it so that many myLoter friends do not like serious discussions? Some days ago one of myLotters presented a discussion like this ; 'Do you shave your under arm's hair? Is it not a silly or uncultured question?

Mylot is an international forum and has members from all over the world. Things that are not discussed openly in one area may be discussed freely in other parts of the world. So the point of being uncultured never arises.
As for serious discussions not receiving many responses may be because of non serious mylotters don't post responses for those discussions.

Yes I think it is. But it really still part of the strategy of the member. Each one of us here are thinking of a very interesting topic that hopefully would gather many respondents. Maybe whoever he was who owned the discussion thought that the topic might get the interest of the mylotters. Honestly, I never got to see the discussion.

Sometimes i stay away from the Serious discussions to avoid clashing with others via religious or political views...the silly questions dont lead to disagreements
Asking a question such as Do you shave your underarm's hair may seem silly but its not something EVERY culture does...and how is one to know this unless they ask. I wouldnt consider it uncultured as every culture is different.

I enjoy responding to some of the silly discussions. A little humor makes the day go by faster. All work and no play isn't much fun. People are here for many different reasons. I feel that it is a time and place for everything. And sometime it is a place for having fun. As long as it doesn't violate MyLot rules, I think it is alright.
And shaving hair from under you arm is a natural thing.
