Do you think the Flu shot will be more efficient this year?

I think it's all hit or miss.....the strains have become hybrids too! I don't get sick either....besides a cold or two so I don't get the shot. Last time I did I felt crappy all winter.

I have never received a flu shot and even my sons doctors have suggested we don't get them the shots either. They did leave it up to us, but were happy when we refused. It truely is a guess, as to what "strains" will come about this year and what is the point of putting the virus in your body, to have your immune system fighting it (basically for the rest of your life)for no reason. I understand the importance of some elderly people getting the shots, but I trust my physicians when they say that proper diet, lots of water and vitamins and proper rest will keep my immune system strong, allowing it to fight off the viruses I may pick up.

Flu shots usually just give your body a sample of the flu -- that's why sometimes when people get the shots, afterwards they feel bad or they get sick. ...sort of silly, really. I mean if you want that result, why not go out and kiss someone with the flu? I mean really. I never get flu shots. I get sick MAYBE once or twice a year. Occasionally I'll go several in a row without catching anything. Normally only when there's these especially aggressive and new strains out and about. I'm still much healthier than everyone else who catches these same bugs, apparently, because I always get over them much more quickly than those who already got the flu shots. Although I'm sure the whole "hit and miss" thing comes into play a bit with this, it doesn't give me any incentive at all, really. ..ironically, I'm typing this as I have one of those particularly aggressive flu strains lmao.
