whether at your house or at the laundromat? or do you have a house help to do it for you? or do you send it to the cleaners and just pick it up or have it delivered afterward? my husband washes our clothes, once or twice a week. ever since we lived together, he was the one in charge of that task.
what about you? who washes your clothes?

I do the laundry at my house. I have a washing machine...but before we had a washing machine..there were times when I did it myself and there were times when I had help for it. My husband NEVER does the laundry even when I am not at home. He doesn't know how to operate the washing machine and doesn't like to do it the old fashioned way. It's very rare that he does it himself when I am not in town.

Yes, i do wash my own clothes... because if i don't no one else will... and i do it once a week... usually during sundays... when there is no work... and my daughter and i just stay in the apartment... sometimes i hand wash... but when i am too tired or lazy... i just put everything on the washing machine...

i think everyone hardly hand washes their clothes nowadays. i mean it is really a great deal easier to just dump everything in the washing machine. it must be a wonder how people coped up during the days without that machine. oh well, i guess people do what they can when there's no option available. anyways, thanks for the input!

yes, generally women wash clothes more thoroughly than men. but there's always an exception to the rule, and in this case, i am the exception
i admire you for your being able to handle three kids by the way.

We have a helper that washes our clothes twice a week and even Iron it. I have 4 uniforms and 4 scrubsuit, I have 3 days staight duty then Day off then another three days of duty so when I cant make it to her scheduled day of laundry, I do the washing of my uniforms and iron it aswell. Its hard especially when I came from duty at the hospital then I have to do my laundry so that I will have my uniform to wear on my duty. And my 4 uniforms are colored white so its hard to get rid of the stain and it sometimes rain so all the mud is all over my pants. LOLs!!!

oh, so you're a nurse/nursing student, eh? yep. i can imagine how hard it is to get the stain off a beautifully white piece of clothing. makes me wonder how you deal with stains from your period. my cousin was a nursing student too (graduated and already an RN now) and i admire her for being able to keep off stains most of her college years

As of now, no. But I did when I was living in a boarding house for almost a year, that was five years ago. We have a household help to do it for us, thankfully. She also the ironing. At least I had experienced washing my clothes although I remember it resulted to some rashes on my hands. Maybe I did it wrong the first time. =)

or maybe the laundry soap/powder was much too harsh for your skin.

that's a good thing to know, that you know how to wash your own clothes. most other people depend on others and don't even know that when washing clothes, coloreds need to be separated from the whites

Oh back to the question, I do of course. who else will, and though there was a time when my sister used to lived with me, I still do the laundry and even their clothes I wash them, it's a household chore that I like doing ( never mind the folding) @missybear (11391)

well at least he lends you a hand.
most guys i know absolutely loathe the task. just make sure he still helps you if and when you two get married
a lot of guys just do that in order to impress their girlfriends, but when they are already married or living together, they transform to another person
