Have you ever been booked for speeding? I have been booked for a parking offence but I never got booked for speeding. We have speed cameras installed around the islands plus traffic wardens supervising. © ronaldinu 2008

Three times in my life and never for very fast, either. Usually I had people whipping past me and I got pulled over. I drive within the speed limit now, for a long time. Two times I was given only a warning, one time, back in the 80's, I was given a $100 fine. Ouch. Over here, in some places, they have cameras that can catch you. One time, I was pulled over, in Florida. The police officer said, "Howdy, m'am. Do you know why you were pulled over?" I said, "Could it be because the others were going too fast and I was the only one you could catch?" He laughed, but I still go the ticket!! LOL

I never been given a ticket for any type of violation out on the road. Although every once in awhile I may run an occasional red light or stop sign and go a bit over the speeding limit, but not all the time. I never got caught.

No I have never been booked for speeding or anything never been pulled over for anything. I am a very cautious driver and go by the rulebook while driving, unlike the rest of my family who take a 55 mile speed limit and take it at 65.

Years ago I owned a sports car. I was returning home from the city to the country and had passed six cars going uphill. I had my Mum, my daughter and my grandson in the car. The policecar appeared from nowhere and he asked for my license then went back to his vehicle to check it. I mentioned this was my first time and he said it was and he booked me for doing 115klms in a 100klm zone even though I was doing 145klms. I wrote to the traffic authority and pleaded to be let off as it was my first offense and I was let off...no points loss, no fine and no official warning. Three years ago I was caught by a speed camera as I approached a country town. Again I wrote to the traffic authority and again I was let off. . I've been driving for 33 years and have a clean license.

I never was, for I do'nt have one, I mean, a car or any automobile, and we do'nt have that speed cameras installed in our streets yet, but if I will own one I'd rather be a responsible driver or owner. Our TMG or traffic manage group are very strict now a days because motorbikes can be seen almost in every corners of the street and accidents are too rampant, lives were just wasted and a lot got injured including me.

I have been busted four times for speeding. The first time i was driving a friends brand new car and it didn't even feel like i was going that fast and by the time i realized i was speeding so did the cops. The second time i was late for work and was doing about 10 over the speed limit but did not get a ticket. The third time, i thought i had passed into another speed limit area when i hadn't actually reached it yet and was busted for doing 15 over. And the fourth time i was on a backwoods country road where no one does the speed limit and got caught doing ten over.

Yes, here in the UK I was booked for speeding twice, but that was many years ago. I have since decided to watch the speed-limits on the roads because if I do speed, I am only likely to arrive at my destination by a few minutes and it's hardly worth getting a fine for.

I've been stopped for speeding a number of times, but thankfully, I always got off with a warning, haven't had any tickets yet. My husband gets onto me for speeding he says I have a heavy foot and one of these days, I'm not going to get anymore warnings..lol. So far, its been awhile since its happened but these days I'm being more careful and make sure I don't speed, especially going into town, they will get you if your speeding.

Not yet! I hate speeders so I will never do their way! I am glad my hubby is not a speeder as well. He has always been a law abiding driver and because of this in his entire driving years...never was he apprehended for any traffic violation. I think it just take being law abiding to improve the traffic condition of this world. What do you think?

I have been caught and booked for speeding many times. All the times that I was caught speeding was because I was too sleepy to drive at the indicated speed limit. All those tickets that I got were captured at around 2:00 to 4:00 pm and that was the time that would be the most sleepiest for me. When that happened, I would tend to speed up so that I would get more adrenalin to flow through my body and therefore, avoid me from falling asleep behind the steering wheels. Well, I know I should have stopped and taken a break or sleep at the rest areas but sometimes, I could not do that especially when I had to attend a meeting with clients and the only way to keep me awake is to press more on the gas... Any advise? Cheers!

I've never been booked for speeding, cause I never stop. I let them pig smelling cops ring their sirens all they want. when I got somewhere to go I just keep on going. If you want me to stop you gonna have to catch me! Ain't no way in hell Ima let some moron with a badge abuse his power and pull me over. I don't see what the big deal is about doing 190mph in a 15mph school zone. As long as you're not drunk and wearing your seatbelt what's the big deal!

I have had one or two warnings, but never a ticket for speeding. I am glad of that. I also have not ever had a ticket for parking violations. Actually I have never had a ticket at all.

Hi ronaldinu, Many years ago when I was a learner driver and I parked my car in town, I was away for eitht minutes when I got a parking fine of £12.00. I never passed my driving test and give up, andy my eyes started to play up, I don't have to drive as my husband does and he hasen't got a speeding fine either. Speed cameras are coming to an end here soon. Tamara

I have never gotten a traffic violation in my history of driving. I hope I am not on camera for speeding or running a traffic light. I really don't like cameras.

I've been busted for speeding a few times. One time I got booked the cop came back to the car and said that my license was suspended! Luckily I had others in the car with me so they could drive the car. I HAD NO IDEA!!!! apparently, my payment from my last ticket didnt go through and they never sent me a notification in the mail so I really had no clue. So that really sucked because I had to wait 2 weeks before I could go and renew my license, and because the cop was being an a*s at the time, he decided that taking away my license wasnt good enough, he also gave me a ticket for my ownership not being signed in ink...and the speeding ticket which had points on it. So i hired some ex copper to take it to court and got everything smoothed out

In our country, we don't have the speed cameras.... but our traffic police have speed meter for checking the speed of the vehicle... I rode my bike speedily....... that day there was a heavy traffic.....even I skid my bike and go very fast...... then I find someone is coming behind me at the same speed... I thought he is trying to overtake me..... then I rise up my accelerator.... but he overtook me.. then only i realize that he is a policeman........ then after that i was caught and i fined very badly...... from that time onwards i dont go fastly.......
