I see these reports on espn that Barry Bonds is due back in court in a few months. I don't know if it's a race issue or not. I am a black man. It was amazing to see Bonds break the single season as well as the all time home run records. But not because he was black. I was impressed when Mcgwire did it. I was hoping that someone would make it to 100. But I did notice how much they paid attention to Bonds when he was making his run for history. When Mark Mcgwire and Sammy Sosa were hitting home runs past mars, they were americas heros. They refferd to them as the ones who made americas favorite pass time interesting again. The saviors of baseball. Knowone really bothered Mcgwire about his alleged steroid use. Even after Conseco's book. They simply asked him if he did it. He replied with something like "I don't wanna dwell on the past", and that was the end of that discussion just that easy. But when Barry Bonds is crowned the new home run king, it's so obvious that he cheated, and they couldn't wait to go to court and put him on the witness stand. I believe that Bonds cheated , as well as Mcgwire. But is there racism in this case? White guy breaks single season home run record and gets crowned baseball's "savior". Black guy breaks single season home run record and gets called to appear before a judge. What do you think?
