Problems with DirecTV

We have had DirecTV for years. But lately, all we have is problems. Right now, I am watching my television reboot - obtaining information from DirecTV. My power kicked off, and instead of just coming back on when the power came right back up, it had to Power Up! But, it does this quite often, even during the day or when we have it set to record to TIVO which messes up the recorded program. We also are having lots of problem with our TIVO. We have the double satellite, and it's always searching for the 2nd signal. And we are only able to record on one of them now since the other one is always messed up. It has really gotten bad. Do you have DirecTV and has it given you these kind of problems? What about Dish? Is there any problems like this with their reception?
