Have you ever participated in a taste test?

When I was younger my brother and mom, tried to get me to do a taste test on some chicken that they both had prepared. I tasted them both and both were good, but I didn't dare say which one was better in my opinion. Even though they both PROMISED me that I wouldn't be treated differently. I kept my mouth shut even til today. My brother with his sly self, told me it's okay I won't tell mom, come on tell me, was mine better? I may have been young and at that time a bit naive, but my mom didn't raise a fool! Nowadays my wife has the taste test between my kids and myself. Sometimes the kids will rave over how well a certain dish is, and I give my honest opinion about it. But she doesn't get upset with me anymore, like she used too, when we first got married. But I'm also, more tactful in my responses as well. What about you, describe the time you were drafted or volunteered to be in a taste test.

You do have to be tactful in your responses to your wife, but you have to be truthful also.. If you are not truthful and it tastes horrible, then she may make it for you on a weekly basis, so telling the truth is the best way, but you did handle it right when you were younger..

Yeah, I learned the truthful but tactful response from my Pastor, he used to be tactless when he first got married and shared how he spoke to his wife in the early days of his ministry. Like I said, my mom didn't raise any complete fools, although we all have done foolish things in our life time.

no i have never participated in a taste test but you know it is really difficult i feel to do this may be it is at home or outside anywhere in the contest. because i feel that the people whoever participates in the contest are may be the better cooks and they may prepare well and tasting all the good dishes and that too which are different from eachother might be difficult to judge which dish is good and better than the other. so it is a high confusion and i think i should never be a judge to taste test.
